Directions To Spud Point Marina Bodega Bay

Directions from Berkeley (approximately 65 miles)

1. From Berkeley take I-80 North to Richmond.
2. At Richmond take I-580 West to San Rafael.
3. In San Rafael take R101 North to Petaluma.
4. Once in Petaluma take the Washington Avenue / Central Petaluma Exit.
5. Turn left at the end of the off-ramp.
6. This puts you on Washington Avenue heading West.
7. This road leads to Valley Ford at which time it becomes Highway 1 and continues to the town of Bodega Bay.
8. In Bodega Bay you will drive past the Tides Restaurant and through a sharp hairpin turn.
9. After the hairpin turn you will come to an intersection with Eastshore Road, you will see a sign for Bodega Head, Marinas, and Westside Park turn left onto Eastshore Road. note: On the Northwest side of the Eastshore Road intersection you will see the Sushi Osaka Japanese Restaurant on the corner.
10. Drive down a steep hill on Eastshore Road, at the bottom turn right onto Bay Flat Road.
11. Drive around Bodega Harbor on Bay Flat Road to Spud Point Marina.
*Bodega Marine Lab Housing is about 1/4 mile beyond Westside Park, on the right.


Directions from San Francisco International Airport (approximatley 65 miles)
1. From the San Francisco Airport take R-101 north to the Golden Gate Bridge. note: While driving through San Francisco it's easiest to just follow the signs to the Golden Gate Bridge (which will keep you on R-101). Be sure to enjoy the view!
2. After crossing the Golden Gate continue North to Petaluma (about 40 miles).
3. Once in Petaluma take the Washington Avenue / Central Petaluma Exit.
4. Turn left at the end of the off-ramp.
5. This puts you on Washington Avenue heading West.
6. This road leads to Valley Ford at which time it becomes Highway 1 and continues to the town of Bodega Bay.

* BML Housing is about 1/4 mile beyond Westside Park, on the right.
11. The main gate to BML is about 1/4 mile further along Bay Flat Road. There is a large University of California sign and a card-controled gate. The lab is about 1/2 mile beyond the gate.
