Although Cordell Bank National Marine Sanctuary is entirely offshore and tough to experience first hand, its value to the larger California Current ecosystem and connecting national marine sanctuaries is large and help can come from afar. You can keep in touch and get involved with the sanctuary with the opportunities listed below.

(2013) NOAA's Office of National Marine Sanctuaries initiated a public process in December, 2012 to review the boundaries for Gulf of the Farallones and Cordell Bank National Marine Sanctuaries. Public Comment period is open until March 1, 2013. Learn more here.

The National Marine Sanctuary Foundation link leaves the site, a private, non-profit, 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization, was created to assist the federally managed National Marine Sanctuary Program with education and outreach programs designed to preserve, protect and promote meaningful opportunities for public interaction with the nation's marine sanctuaries.
