Do you want to partake in ocean monitoring efforts in your national marine sanctuaries? Do you want to teach about the ocean in your classroom? Do you want to learn from marine scientists as they monitor the ocean conditions offshore of the Bay Area?

Cordell Bank National Marine Sanctuary and PRBO Conservation Science are working together to offer teachers an opportunity to partake in ocean monitoring research cruises in 2009.

We are seeking applicants for one day cruises in May and September.

We are seeking applicants to participate on a one week cruise July 17-22nd 2009.
Teachers must complete the following application, including two letters of recommendation. (Forms A, B, C.)
Teachers will stay on the boat with the research team and participate in the monitoring efforts while also sharing the experience through web logs and creating education activities for their class. To learn about the research taking place that week, click here.
